Education
Education will pave the way towards a better future for all. We support basic education in rural Daikundi where education infrastructure has been badly neglected in the past decades. We also raise awareness and educate about the need for sustainable water management.
A school for Bargar
In Bargar, we helped the villagers build a school for their kids. Three teachers have been struggling to teach over 100 kids in a tiny inadequate building so far. Often, they had to teach outside. But soon, the new building will be ready for use.
English courses for kids
We support four teachers who offer free English classes for kids in the villages.
Winter Courses
During the winter school holidays in Afghanistan together with three university graduates, we are offering courses to high school students who want to learn more about math, chemistry and physics. We also offered a special module on climate change and its impacts on Afghanistan.
Basic literacy courses
Many adults in Afghanistan never had a chance to learn how to read or write. This winter, we are offering basic literacy courses for adults. We are delighted that 95 people have enrolled. We are paying two teachers for the courses and we distributed school books and writing material.
School bag distribution
Many children have to walk long distances to attend school every day. We distributed school bags, notebooks and pens to the kids in Bargar. This will motivate them to attend school every day.
