Irrigation and Drinking Water
Water access is a necessary precondition for life and agriculture. However, in rural Afghanistan many people lack even the most basic water infrastructure. We support small-scale irrigation projects and help rural households obtain access to safe drinking water.
Climate Change
Afghanistan is among the regions hardest hit by climate change despite having contributed virtually nothing to the problem. Climate change exacerbates droughts, heatwaves and flooding, catastrophes Afghanistan is unprepared for. Via innovative water management techniques we want to boost rural Afghans resilience in the face of climate change. Tree planting projects contribute to the fight against climate change.
Education
In Bargar, we helped the villagers construct a new school building. About 120 kids live in the area who are being taught by three female teachers.
