During the winter school holidays we offered courses for students in mathematics, physics and chemistry in Miramor, Daikundi. Three teachers are teaching students who are also studying these subjects in secondary school. Our courses are open for girls and boys. They started on December 22nd, 2022, and went on until the beginning of the next school year in March, 2023 .
We also offered a special module on climate change and its impacts on Afghanistan.
In Daikundi, social mores about gender mixing are not as strict as in many other parts of Afghanistan. In the last 20 years, mixed classes were common. Today, in our courses, our project partners chose to continue this practice. We distributed advanced text books for the students in either math or sciences.
